General Procedures
School hours: School hours are 9.15am till 12.45pm, Monday to Friday. We also provide an afterschool club which runs from 1.30pm to 5.45pm.

The school opens in conjunction with the local Primary school, The Divine Word, Marley Grange and closes for mid-term breaks and holidays in line with the Divine Word. Notification of days on which the school will be closed will be given in advance.

Fees are to be paid at the beginning of the month. Fees are due whether or not the child is absent due to illness or extended holidays.

If your child is unable to come to school for whatever reason, please notify the school before 10am.

Each child must be potty trained, as the school does not have nappy changing facilities, as defined by Tusla.

It may be important for individual children to have a security toy or blanket; in this case the child may bring that item only whenever they feel the need.

Every day there will be a breaktime and the parent provides the child's snack, eg, a drink and a sandwich/yoghurt/piece of fruit. All lunches will be stored in the fridge in the classroom. Please ensure that your child has a healthy snack as we operate a healthy eating policy at our service.

Parents are permitted free access to the school when their child is in attendance.

Parents must establish that their child is under supervision before they leave the premises. Children should be collected from the class only by the parents or someone authorised by them to do so and by prior arrangement with the school.

Sick children should not be brought to class. Children who have been absent through illness should not return until they are no longer contagious.

The school insurance is covered under a special Montessori scheme with Ironshore (Europe) DAC. This covers public liability, employer's liability and equipment.
